How did that happen?

On Monday evening, I had three pints of real ale. Tuesday, I treated myself to a "fish tea" and three beers. Wednesday, Potato soup followed by Sea bass with new potatoes.
Yesterday, I went to the Caprice Italian restaurant for lunch.
Of course, I still had my usual breakfast cereals and other snacks throughout the day.

Unfortunately, I incurred a slight injury to my left foot and was unable to exercise for two days this week.

When I weighed myself this morning, I was 4lbs lighter than on Monday. I'm not complaining, mind you. :)
 
Hi John,

While you were at the Italian restaurant, the Mafiosi broke into your house and tampered with your scales. This is the only plausible explanation that I can think of, John.

I'm not suggesting that what I did was that excessive but I wouldn't have expected to lose much weight this week. Just stay constant.

It just seems strange as I've been hovering around the same weight for 3 or 4 weeks...until now... but I'd been much stricter than over the last few days.

However, some people do say that you have to eat to lose weight. So, maybe it's true :?:

I have had that happen to me too. I think that there must be an inbuilt defence mechanism in there somewhere just in case there is a famine - and when there clearly is not a famine the weight suddenly drops. :)
