I feel like a bit of an idiot, but how do you change the lancet? The one I have has 11 positions on it - and I thought these indicate the depth of penetration into the skin - I have it set at 3 and have done since I was given this one about 5 years ago but I didn't know they could be changed to get a fresh one. Is it just by turning the dial to another number or by replacing the head?
My DN keeps reminding me that needles should be used only once but the only once I do change each time is the Lantus dose. Humilin S I take 3 times a day and just change the needles when I put a new phial into the pen - about every second day. I am bruised, though and even a new needle is painful - that's both Humilin and Lantus.
