They can "both" do this skill easily and well too .

I seem to have done it!
Above is a picture of my 1930 Austin Seven Special. I built the body and restored the rest of the car many years ago.
The car is called Samantha Jayne because the A7 was known as the baby Austin and my baby sister is called Samantha Jayne!
The car is now 83, my sister is ....cough, cough.

Hi RRB.
This is how I did it, I will do it again to make sure!
Click on new topic or if you are replying to a post click on post reply.
When this box appears scroll down to where you will see 2 tabs. 1 has options on it the other is upload attachment. Click on upload attachment.
Click browse and find the image you want to insert, I find it easier to have copied the image first into an easy to remember folder, or directory for us old buffs! I think the maximum size for an image is 256k.
Click on the image you want to upload and then click open, you will get back to this screen.
Click add the file.
Position the cursor in this box where you want your image to go and then click place inline.
Some words appear to inform you that the attachment has been inserted. I will insert a pic under this line.

If you need advice on resizing the file or moving it to a different folder please let me know. I am also inserting a pic of me and Lorna in her garden one winter. She took a pic of me and I took one of her then 'stitched' them together.

I am wearing my Cornish Pulligan. What's a Cornish Pulligan you ask? I'll tell you later! Try posting an image and let me know how you get on. Before submitting your posting you can preview it to see what it looks like first. I will be driving Lorna to her orchestra practice soon, she will be playing in an evening concert in a church in Falmouth on Friday.

WOW what a car - a real beauty I must say and declare :clap:
You restored it ? Amazing work and detail involved there .
Is the body part wood too?

My own brother had an 1934 Austin Seven box saloon .
She was primrose yellow and black named the obvious 'Primrose' or Primmy for short .
Plus he had an Austin Chummy for couple of years, then sold it to a collector for
a good profit .
Now he owns an rare Alvis sports special [only 5 of this model made worldwide] .
Go's rattleing around at weekends with the local district vintage car club .
They have runs and treasure hunts with clues to a 'pub' out in the middle of nowhere someplace.
Winner gets lunch and all drinks 'free' ...
Then he does the vintage car rallies during the year too .
Holker Hall , Tatton Park , Hoghton Towers , Woodvale [southport] , Skipton .
Takes a hamper stuffed full of totally unsuitable picnic food for his Diabetic younger sister 'me'
So I gave up tagging along doing this a while ago .

Cornish Pulligan?
Is that a cardigan stroke pullover?
Bit of both, maybe a cardigan you pull over your head ?

Am sure it will help any member who wishes to try this PC skill .

The picture will have 3 letters after the name and the dot. Do you know what yours is? The picture also needs to be smaller than 256k Don't give up! We can do this!

If this isn't a small world, then I don't know what is. This is a picture of Lorna in 1958 (aged 28, same as the car) when she bought her first A7 which she calls 'Tilly'.

And this is her a couple of years ago now aged 80.

And now, Lorna with both of her A7s.

Tilly to her left and 'Chuggy' her 1933 A7 bought in 1961. Chuggy as you can see is yellow and black. Tilly started life as a Chummy but the body was taken off in the 50s by a student who built this body. He supposedly used the alluminium taken from a scrapped WW2 Spitfire! I restored Tilly several years ago and if you compare the two pictures you will see that Tilly now has doors. Lorna appreciates not having to jump over the side of the car to get in!
I bought my A7 many years ago and decided to scrap the home made body on it and build one of my own. I saw the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and built my smaller version (it don't fly ) The body is wood and the wings are fibreglass. I have driven the car at over 70mph when I was younger, but I wouldn't do that now. I can't do it now because the car is in bits. The body is leaning against the wall in my dining room. It's true! (single man you see. I wonder why?)

It is very clever of you to work out the name 'Pulligan' Anna! Lorna decided to knit me a cardie for Christmas a few years back. Christmas came and went with no cardie in sight. But it was nearly ready as the next Christmas approached. There's just one problem said Lorna, I dont know how to do button holes. The buttons were on, but we coulodn't figure out buttonholes. (Talking about buttonholes, do you know what your bellybutton is for? I wondered many years ago so I put a finger in my bellybutton and twisted. My bum fell off). Anyway, I suggested that we turn the cardigan into a pullover, and leave the buttons on. This was done and the new garment was named 'Pulligan' and because it was made in Cornwall, it is a Cornish Pulligan. Possibly the only one there is, for some unknown reason. My Pulligan causes merriment whenever I wear it. But it was made for me when I weighed nearly 18 stones. Now at 12 1/2 stones it is a bit baggy!

Thank you, I will keep trying, I want to post some WW11 photo's, but I will give it another go.

I love the photo's of the cars, especially Lorna in 1958, that was the year I was born ( but please don't tell anyone :shh: )
