How do you deal with special occassions or treats?

Just curious really, I'm not deluded enough to think i won't ever have a birthday bash or a party where I'll want to eat a bit more than normal.

Or indeed I'll have the odd weekend when I'll have asomething a bit extra, so will end up going higher.

I'm just interested, do you simply exercise total zen like control at all times, or do you have an "acceptable" high reading that you allow yourself every now and again?

Hello Governor,

Every now and then you've got to take it a bit easy and cut yourself some slack.
Throw carb caution to the wind.
The slang term for this amongst diabetics is "doing an eddie"

Regards,
timo.

On special occasions, like weddings, I have a tiny bit of whatever and increase my medication a little. For restaurants, I have got quite good at picking the right choices. I have managed not to have what i'd call a "pig-out" for over a year. I have eaten a lot of lettuce though. There was a point at which I thought I was going to begin to photosynthesise. :D
