How does regular lack of sleep affect management of type 1

If you're regularly having less sleep than recommended such as 5-6 hours, what effects will this have on management of type 1?

What if you fall asleep in front of the tv for 30 minutes to an hour in the evening?
How does a nap affect things?

What if your sleep is regularly interrupted for 10/20 minutes one or two times a night?

I can't see how it would make any difference at all unless you're sleeping through mealtimes

I have recently read an article about how bad constant lask of sleep is for diabetes but I can't find it now to see if it is relevant to your question- so sorry I'm not very helpful

Well a version of the article has now appeared on page one of this web-site!

My son is only 2 but when he misses his afternoon nap he needs more carbs or he goes low. Same if he has a late night. He needs more carbs at the time to keep him going and the nexyt day I have to watch him carefully as he'll go low.

Adults will be affected in some way too?
