I've just been prescribed Sitagliptin (Januvia) 100mg to supplement 3 x 500 Metformin SR (Glucophage SR). Thanks to anyone who can help.

I found it kicked in fairly quickly -about a week. The side effects kicked in even faster! Knocked me out immediately ! Fell fast asleep after taking it and continued o do so for a few weeks.

I think that is just me though- I have had that reacion to meds before.

As it made me so drowsy I started o take it a nigh so he efffect didnt matter. Still happens from time to time.

As it only "kicks in " when your levels are high maybe best to take it when you know they are likely to rise. Its useful that it doesnt need o be taken ith food or drink /

I have found it works very well ,expecially once I had managed to work out a balnced routine with other meds and exercise.
