You can ignore the 'of which sugars' as this has already been added to the carb amount.
What would put me off these straight away is the big fat yellow 'Low Fat' label.
A (very) basic guide is that above ground veg are better than below ground veg for carb content. (which pretty much tallies with veggies mentioned above).
But obviously it is all dependent on how much of something you eat. Here's a useful visual guide:

I am really hoping that your partner gets a glucose meter - they are invaluable for knowing what foods work and what foods don't work in raising blood sugar levels. I spent a few months testing pretty much after every meal and have a fairly good idea about certain foods now. And have discovered I can actually eat a couple of small potatoes. Also a very small portion of the mash on top of a fish pie. Any more potato raises my numbers too high. But it's all individual to the person...
How many carbs are there in vegetables ?
What are the best low carb vegetables for meals ?
The total number of carbs is 6.3g of carbs inc sugar. I would eat this no problem and have loads of vegetables with perhaps a couple of small potatoes whereas my husband would have it with as few veggies as I let him get away with but twice as many potatoes. However I tend to eat more carbs than many forum members - I eat as much in one meal as some allow themselves in a day. Once you have a meter and can test you will have more idea as to how different foods affect you.How many carbs per day would people say (on average) is the limit to consume?
How many grams of carbs should I definetly not go over per day ?
And how many carbs should there be in a meal to be classed as low carb?
For example , my other half hates oily fish but likes these fish in sauce by youngs.
Looking at the breakdown, each pouch contains 6.3g carbs / 3.1g sugars.
So would would two of these for dinner with some vegetables be too much, or would it be fine?
I was thinking something like a cup of peas and cabbage alongside?
Also how am I calculating the carb in that meal ? If it says 6.3g of which 3.1g is sugar, is that a total value of 6.1g carbs + sugar, 6.3g total, or a combined total of 9.4g??
