I've had type 1 diabetes for 21 years and I was always told to change it every time but as the previous comment said, I didn't always do it as there was no where for me to dispose of the needle pricked, however I've recently upgraded my blood monitor to a Accu Check Mobile which has everything you normally carry with your normal monitor (pricker, blood strips etc) inside or attached to it and it has a cartiridge inside the pricked that holds around 20 needles so saves you from changing it all the time. I personally have found it to be the best monitor as I've used many different ones in the past. Have a look online as the website will explain what I'm talking about in detail lol I got mine for free as I have type 1 but am sure it's reasonably priced if you have to pay for it? Hope this helps :) Sent from the Diabetes Forum App
