52, Type 2, had Glandular Fever very badly twice in my 20s and wonder if this affected my liver and pancreas?

I was 33 (a year ago next month) and had had borderline GD during pregnancy late 2010 but this was controlled through diet. In Jan 2012 I was diagnosed with type 2 but in the May after falling very ill then diagnosed type 1 (my brother is also type 1 and I have a history of Graves disease and thyroid problems) and put on insulin injections. What a difference!! Loads of energy, no thirst, no thrush!!
