So, my BG has been between 4 and 7 since Sunday now with only a couple of blips (couple of hypos with a bit over correction - up to around 8.5). The hospital has taken me off of Glimepiride and just left me on Metformin 500mg twice per day now (although they have said that if my BG goes up consistently, I need to start back on the Glimepiride).
Starting to feel a bit better about things now that I see my levels in order and see that the medication is working. I'm not saying that I'm completely over things, but I am starting to look at things more positively.
Can I thank everyone on this forum who have helped me in what was one of my darkest periods of my life. All of those who helped directly by answering my many questions and worries and also the other members who have helped me by having information on this forum that I could browse through. It really does make a difference, so please keep it up. Hopefully I can start doing the same for newbies soon in order to pass it on.

I was diagnosed as type 2 two weeks ago today. Initially started on 2mg of Glimepiride, 500mg Metformin added in. Then at the start of this week, Glimepiride came down and Metformin up.
