How quickly will I get a pump

I have been passed from my standard diabetes team to the pump team as they have decided that would be the best way forward for me. I have my first appointment on Monday, will I get a pump there and then, or will I have to wait for one and if so how long. I live in Hertfordshire.

I was referred to the pump clinic in February 2012 and got funding approved in June, pump arrived around 11th June! Bit of a wait but well worth it
 
Hi, I got referred in March to pump clinic, they gaave me the accucheck combo blood meter first to get used to, which was great because when i got my pump last week i didnt have to worry about how to use it from scratch.

My clinic have pump starting dates (this may be different where you are) so i had to wait till 26th of June but like i say it gave me time to become used to the combo meter.

Had it 9 days and it was well worth the wait :)
