How to avoid pain while injecting the insulin injection ?

I'm not sure what percentage of countless injections over 32 years have hurt. 20, 30, 40% ? They are a good reason for occasional swearing. Lantus stings more than NovoRapid. But that anguish is different to the needle stick pain. I'm going to try Flakey's technique. Sounds clever.
