How to work out pen doses as backup

I'm going away on a skiing holiday on Saturday and am planning to bring pens as a backup. The only thing is im not sure how to work out the correct doses to give with the pen if my pump fails.
Does anyone know what you have to do to work out your doses?
 
I would reverse what I did to calculate my pump doses.

To calculate my pump basal, I took my two levemir shots, multiplied them by 0.8 and then divided one by 14 and the other by 10.

Boluses haven't changed.

What insulin do you use as your basal? If you take one basal shot daily, your starting point would be taking your total daily basal and injecting that as a basal shot, then watching blood glucose levels. If that worries you, you could split your basal in two and for the time periods that you would take the basal, you could work out the total units per period for each 12 hour period.

Normally basal on a pump uses less insulin than basal via injection.
 
Much like Tim my bolus doses haven't changed but my basal has, they say that pump users use around 20% less basal when switching from MDI, on my own basal requirements that figure isn't far wrong.

However if your still unsure ask your pump DSN how you should work your insulin doses out if your pump failed. Enjoy your break.
