Nothing wrong with KiteKat sandwiches. Just make sure you use the litter tray.Maybe me and Snowy have similar tastes. When I was 21 I got drunk at a mates house and asked for a sandwich. My pal brought in a pâté sandwich and boy it was yummy. I asked for another and said make your own. So I went into the kitchen only to find some bread and tin of KiteCat with a butter knife in it lol.
my dad's from the East End of London, not very well off at all. My nan used to make all that kind of stuff, cheap and very filling.Just chilling at my mums.
She was remembering the good old days, and how we used to eat.
Growing up, with the food she remembers filling up on after a meal.
Tapioca pudding
Rice pudding
Bread pudding
Macaroni pudding.
She's having a bucket of bread sauce with the chicken now, on top of the potatoes.
Guess the T2 gene didn't come from her then.
Yep..!!...washed down with a glass of weak, tepid orange squash! Those were the days!
...and I was hated by half the class for having the snack (one girl tracked me down on Friends Reunited some twenty years later to confess and apologise)!
I still make fried bread in the breakfast fats from sausages and bacon. Lovely!Now here's a blast from the past, our next door neighbour made bread fried in the dripping that was left from the breakfast. A hearty brekkie bonus.

My granny used to call it a 'slider', because you had to watch that the ice cream didn't slide out from between the wafers.Nothing beats Scottish ice cream. (nougat waver) was the best ever.View attachment 9581
It just has to be lavished with HP Sauce for me Brunneria lolThere are times when a thick, crispy bacon, white beaded bacon sarnie is my idea of heaven.
* wistful sigh *
No. no. No!
