How we used to eat.

Nothing wrong with KiteKat sandwiches. Just make sure you use the litter tray.

Your wit is so droll Adrian he he lol

my dad's from the East End of London, not very well off at all. My nan used to make all that kind of stuff, cheap and very filling.

You missed off the big fat, thick doughy yorkshire puds though.

She developed T2 as well, as did my dad's elder sister. I'm the first T1 as far as I know

Now here's a blast from the past, our next door neighbour made bread fried in the dripping that was left from the breakfast. A hearty brekkie bonus.

Talking about rice pudding, my mother used to make it very buttery with a crisp skin! And she made wonderful apple pies and custard! Her pastry was so light but it is still sticking to me many many years later!
And sweets! Sherbet in a bag and dip! Penny chews! Penny bars of Cadburys!

Oh dear they are all sticking to me now too after many many years!

...washed down with a glass of weak, tepid orange squash! Those were the days!

...and I was hated by half the class for having the snack (one girl tracked me down on Friends Reunited some twenty years later to confess and apologise)!
Yep..!! weak Diabetic squash in a snoopy flask with ice that melted & diluted it more...
What we used to drink.. That's another thread.. lol

,,,If i could avoid the "snack" i would.!

Oh dear Eddie I wouldn't go that far,but I do like the smell of dog food.
I fancy a peanut butter kit kat.

Delicious! I may give that a go as I move closer to LCHF eating - probably with rye or spelt bread though!

I used to order this in the work's canteen - two triple decker rolls that had egg, sausage and bacon topped with a fried potato scone. Scrummy lol. Alas fond memory only. Aww. Sniff.

There are times when a thick, crispy bacon, white beaded bacon sarnie is my idea of heaven.

* wistful sigh *

Brown sauce and a roll n bacon belong together believe me it's ace. As Paul Daniels would say "I like it but not a lot" lol
