How well is your surgery doing?

These are figures for 2010/2011 and they show how well individual surgeries are doing according to the Quality and Outcomes Framework. You just need to find your surgery by clicking on "Search for Clinical Results". The higher the score, the higher the financial reward.

My surgery has scored 100% for Diabetes and 100% for hypertension. Would be interesting to see if people who are not satisfied with their care find that their surgery has a high or low score.

My surgery scores 100% on everything!!! I wonder who does the scoring as I know both myself and others who filled out their questionnaire had many concerns over aspects of the care in a range of areas, and said so.

That said, if I hadnt come here and known how my Diabetes care should have gone, I wouldnt have known there was a problem

I have only had an initial appointment with my GP(Diabetes specialist within a 10 GP practice) on diagnosis, had all the physical tests done, prescribed Metformin then sent on my merry way with a diet sheet and told to come back in 6 months. I had already started to adjust my diet a month previously when I first suspected that I was Diabetic and went armed with spreadsheets showing my changing food choices, my BP and BG readings so I think he realised I intended to handle things my way so I guess he will be waiting to see how well I cope without the normal NHS dietary sabotage when I go for my next review.

Looking at their results it is kind of reassuring that they don't show a blanket 100% on DM.
 
92% for diabetes, 98% for hypertension and 100% for cancer, asthma and kidney failure.
 
Mine seems to score 100% on everything and MOST of the time they are very good.

Mine is only 88% for diabetes and interestingly only 50% of their patients have an HBAiC under 7!

My surgery has Total of 96.5% / Clinical 98.9% / Patient Experience Results 72%.

If you investigate the results more closely and look at the criteria for each then I think any surgery that gets less than 100% needs their butts kicked. The criteria is SO basic! :roll:

The Patient Experience Results seem only to be based on ability to get appointments. I could not find anything about Patient's questionnaires showing personal experience - now THAT would be interesting % for surgeries to see and for us to compare :lol: .
 
99.93% for Diabetes

I have to say i am quite pleased with this surgery.....the one i was with before was a nightmare!!
 
100% for my surgery but only 56% with HBA1C below 7 - which is better than the stats xyzzy published (probably) but still a bit high
 
Diabetes 82.9% puts me in winning position so far (make that losing position )

38.7% with HbA1c of 7 or lower. I'm clearly out in front. Any takers ?

Anyone up for a house swap ?

Na, beat me (in bad results!)
We had 51% at 7 or less. No wonder they wander in Wycombe.
In fairness, it doesn't say how many of them are new patients. If 100% were new, virtually all would be over 7. So this should be an important part of the figures. perhaps they should show "those diagnosed over 12 monthe with HbA1c below 7"
 
I think this connects with that other thread nicely. It's fairly meaningless to have a target for all patients, as this covers different medications and time since diagnosis. Better to say how many have a care plan in place and how many are achieving their targets on it, as the target hba1c on your care plan would, presumably, change with time.
 
52.3% for Hba1c of 7% or less,85.1% of people with a HbA1c of 9% or less,score of 95.2% for Diabetes care.Trouble is a lot of people take "Nurse Death's" advice as gospel and think she's wonderful. :roll:
 
Mine got 53 for people with a Hba1c of 7% or less. Not at all surprised. :lol: We also have a "NurseDeath" working with the diabetics at ours. Common problem me thinks.
 
97% for overall achievement and 100% for diabetes. Just shows what a joke this is - Nurse Numpty (as I affectionately know her!) dilligntly checks all diabetics' feet and even offeers to draw up a care plan - sadly, she cannot tell the difference between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, doesn't believe Type 2s need to test BG, doesn't know what LADA is and has never heard of a GAD test :roll: Still, I applaud her on the 100% score :***:

My surgery got 52% at 6.5 HbA1c. So almost half are not being controlled properly - and yet they got 100% score for diabetes treatment!!!!

and most of you know my experiences there. Although, since the formal complaint thing have improved for me.

Yep, mine has 62.4% of patients with HbA1cs of 7% or less - and that equates to a 100% score for them on managing diabetes :crazy:

My surgery is 95.8% which does surprise me, as I have no complaints at all.

Those with an HbA1c of 7 or less is 61.3%

There are only 4.24% of all patients T2's in the practice. Interesting data.
