I was wondering if HRT can affect Blood Sugar levels, the reason I am asking this is because. I had a normal blood sugar level a yr ago, have been on HRT for 2 mnths now and now suffer with high blood pressure and according to Doc yesterday I'm 1 point away from being Diabetic!

I have no symptoms of Diabetes ie increased thirst, urinating more often etc.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks

It has never affected me do you take tablets, implants or patches, you might find one of the options better than the others

I think it depends.

My hormones are all... um... (Trying to find a polite way of saying this)... out of wack.

And in my experience ANY external hormone influence (pill, progesterone cream, hormonal contraceptive of any kind, too much soya) will knock me further out of wack.

I intend to refuse HRT if it is ever offered, based on past experience. Unless I the argument in its favour is incredibly compelling. I doubt it will be.

Your mileage will, of course, vary.
