humalin s any users???????

Hi all, hope everyone is having a good day, I went to see the DSN at my local clinic today I was totally sick of all the crazy BG's I wa getting! So I went to get my insulin changed coz the stuff (novoraid and lantus ) was doin absolutely no good!! I got changed onto Humalin S and still on Lantus. I guess I just wanted to ask if anyone else is on this insulin and how does it compare (if that is the right word??) I just want to get some bl**dy control of this disease and get on with my life!! I've decided to give it 6 weeks to see if there is any improvement if not then i'm going back and i'm really gonna push for something different (may be animal - Janabelle I know you hate Lantus but I thought maybe trying this would help first??!!)
Thanks people any experiences with this insulin would be gratefully heard

I have benn on Humalin S for years and have had no problems with it. I am alson on Levemir.

My Son is on Humulin S and Levimir...... I have to say we have weeks of good readings and weeks of constant lows and highs but he is still honeymooning and we're constantly playing out with his level

I've never been on Humulin so can't advise on that sorry, how are your levels going with it?
As for Lantus, my dislike comes from not only my personal experience, but from others I've been in contact with. Also you are planning a preganacy so this should interest you http://products.sanofi-aventis.us/lantu ... ection-9.1
Fingers crossed that your control improves and Hba1c reduces, I know how frustrating it is, but hang in there
