How do you stop being hungry on a low carb diet? I really want to lose weight and it actually goes against everything that has been drummed in to me but I want to give it a go. The problem is I am always hungry even if my blood sugar is ok

Although I don't low carb now, I was on a very low carb diet for a few years before I was diagnosed, and I can honestly say I was very rarely, if ever, hungry on a low carb diet. I never felt the need to snack between meals. But that's maybe just me...........

What are you eating? I have bacon and poached eggs for breakfast, a full fat Greek yoghurt with a handful of berries for lunch. Snacks are a piece of cheese or a handful of nuts. Dinner today - chicken in a tarragon, brandy and cream sauce with lots of veggies. Are you eating enough fat?

I have heart disease so too much fat is not good for me.

In which case, have you thought about low GI. There is a member Douglas99 who has lost lots of weight following this particular diet and he is very helpful. Good luck!
