Since HCQ is the flavour of the season, I was just reading up on it. Apparently, HCQ increases insulin sensitivity & also lowers blood sugar & in some countries, it's approved as an add-on treatment for T2 Diabetes.

So I was wondering anyone here has been on HCQ for diabetes or if not prescribed for T2, then have they been on it for Rheumetoid/autoimmune diseases where it's a commonly prescribed drug. If so, did it lower your sugar levels? Enough that you had to lower other medication? What about for people who are on insulin - did you have to lower your insulin units when HCQ was added to the mix?

Reported in JAMA and also by the Mayo Clinic who are known for diabetes research.
