Hi, I have not been diagnosed as diabetic. I eat healthily and often, I used to get very faint while walking the dog, when one day a neighbour who is a nurse found me sitting in the lane. she checked my blood sugar and it was 1.5, which I was told was too low. I mentioned it to my doctor, who sent me off for blood tests, the results of which escape me, but no further action was taken.
Since this episode I often have these hypo's so often I bought an accu-check meter. Most of the time when I checked over the past few years, I am around 4.8 to 9.8 depending on what time of day it is. I felt very faint this afternoon, on our walk, this was only around 1.5 miles and around 45minutes after a little cake and a mug of cocoa (no sugar). on getting home I checked my Blood sugar and it was 3.6, so not too low, I want to know what could be wrong if anything? Thanks for any info. I am reasonably fit, Lactose intolerant, do not eat meat, weigh 80Kgs 6ft 2in tall, Male 56 years old
