Hi my
Partner has night hypos sometime he becomes unaware of who he is where he is.
Sometimes who I am
Md who the children are.
Anxious paranoid frightened sometimes tearful unable to talk
Anyone have any trigger suggestions?? I'm querying stress. He has no warning he often isn't even sweaty like he usually is for a hypo

Hi and welcome.

You really need some insulin users to post (I'm not one), but hopefully they will be along soon.

In the meantime, it may help them if you give some more details.

What does your partner eat, how many carbs, and what time is his evening meal and or snacks?
What insulin regime is he on, and do you know the doses he takes?

This information may help people understand why he is getting the hypos.

I'd have to echo Brun's comments. As an insulin user who has had this happen once, it's not very nice for you as the partner.

Normally overnight hypos occur due to an insulin/carbohydrate imbalance, but unless you know what his are, we can't tell. The other thing you should do, before bed, is to test 4 times over the course of the hour before bed, to understand the direction the blood sugar is going, as this will be a helpful additional indicator of what might be happening.

If you can come back with some more information, we'll be able to help out some more. I realise how horrible it is for you.
