So yesterday I was about to have stew so I took 4 units before hand,30mins laters started to get that anxiety feeling i get when i go low so thought I'd check my blood sugars.3.2!!! so drank 100ml of orange juice.check again 10mins later,2.2!!!!!!!!!!!! finished the bottle off than i panicked a little.Went into a munch frenzy reached into my draw and got some gluco gel and demolished the tube along with some biscuits.Obvious to say i was a little high a few hours later but them lows are so scary.

@wiserkurtious . Hypos, especially the fast dropping ones can be very scary and the issue is only compounded by not being able to think straight.
At least you got it sorted, going high afterwards is usually a gimme when the panic munchies set in.
One way I try to avoid going high is to leave reminders of what I've munched on. Leave OJ carton, banana skins, biscuit packets, glucotab pots, jelly baby bags or whatever I've used . Once the hypo is sorted then go back have a recap of what I've over consumed on and take a bolus to help combat the inevitable rise.

I know when it's bad - i get numbness in my mouth and throat when i swallow plus my taste buds go haywire -everything tastes bitter.
