I am a type 2 diabetic and I am currently experiencing severe muscle pain in my muscles/ nerves possibly due to statin sideaffects or carpal tunnel. When this happens my blood sugars which are normally too high, plummet. Is the hypo connected to the pain?

Hypo's due to pain?

Sorry to hear you are in such pain.
I'm a type 2, diet and exercise, so I don't take any meds that might affect the highs and lows, but I definitely get hypos that are linked to pain, PMs, stress and strong emotions.
And it's at times like those I crave the carbs most, but I've learned that this is the worst thing for my blood glucose stability. The best thing I can do is eat a good, satisfying, high protein/fat/veg meal, and skip the carbs completely. Makes a huge difference.
