Type 1 Hypos with normal BG readings

Hi, I’m a type 1 and have started recently to get decent control of my BG, I have noticed recently though that my hypos are occurring with normal readings, one the other day I was reading 5.5 and I’ve just had one just now reading 6.3, has anyone else had any experience of this or know why this is happening?
Thanks in advance

When your body has gotten used to higher levels, lower normal levels can feel like a hypo. It's called false hypos, and it's absolutely normal!
It will take a while to get your body used to lower levels again but it will settle.

Very well done for starting to get control of your BG!

Hi,

Well done on the improved managment.

I'd draw the analogy of it being a little like a "functioning alcaholic," but with the tolerance to high BG levels.
The normal healthy BG perameters (like sobriety.) maybe a little disconcerting whilst you acclimatise?
