Hi all
Can anyone explained why my levels constantly drop from say 9 to 2.6 in a matter of an hour resulting in palpitations being hot, shaking hungry then going into a deep sleep to wake up aching all over my body feet and hands absolutely in pain and numb happened 3 times yesterday feel totally destroyed today
I have to be careful what I say as I'm T1 and not T2 but I do have plenty of experience with insulin and hypos.
Yes, hypos can be awful but they usually happen when there is too much insulin in my system. Are you able to consult your diabetes team so as to adjust your insulin dose? 2.6mmol/L is very low and I'm not surprised it is making you feel ill.
Are you new to insulin and have you been given any instructions about adjusting your dose?
I think you need urgent advice....
Lots of virtual hugs from an insulin user in New Zealand. I hate hypos.

But oddly the last 3 days I’ve had more hypos than usual & the onset of what I can describe from experience as “flu?”
Waking with feet & wrist cramps. Generally joint & limb ache.. I’ve also been swinging from hot to cold without the lows.
Day 2 I started getting stuffy in the head with a mild sniffle..
I’ve had worse & i’m vaccinated.
