I was told that if on Metformin you cant get hypos?? i have lost 8 stone in 2 years and lately get very dizzy feel tired and sweating
all signs of a hypo take 2 500 metformin one with breakfast one with evening meal its in the afternoon the dizzy ect happens my last reading at GP was 5.8 type 2 is encouraged not to buy a meter and test in my area!! any help please
 
Get a meter and test would be my advice


Diagnosed type II 1998 2 x 80 mg Gliclazide, 4 x 500mg Metformin and 1 x 100mg Sitagliptin HbA1c - 48 mmol/mol
 
You're not going to get hypos with Metformin as it's job is to prevent the liver from producing glucose.

Best go to your GP and explain your symptoms as it could be anything.

Your result of 5.8 is good but nowhere near a hypo.
