Hypothyroidism

Hypothyroidism is much more common in diabetics regardless of type. Don't know if it's a connection though.

I suffered the opposite, hyperthyroidism I am type 1

I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis which is autoimmune. As I understand it the endocrine glands are all inextricably linked and once you have one you are more prone to get another issue. Also
Hypothyroidism leads generally to weight gain which puts one at greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes. I have been tested for diabetes and it was negative but my hb1ac was 6.3 which makes me a likely candidate in the future. My fasting glucose was 4.7 which is great. I am being investigated for reactive hypoglycaemia as I seem to have an issue only with carbs!
