Hello, everyone!

I am new to this forum. This Thursday I will be at week 13 of my NewCastle journey. I’ve not yet began replacing one shake with a meal because I’m not quite sure how much weight I must lose. So far I’m 3.07 stones down. I’m 160cm. Started at 12.14 stones. Am now at 9.04 stones.

I figure 8.5~8.7 stones would be a good goal. I’m not quite sure.

Hi @StallionHeart & welcome to the forum :)

Well done on the great weight loss and for sticking with the diet plan, I can’t help you with choosing a goal as that’s a very personal thing to you, I’m not a big believer in the BMI chart. How are you feeling? If you feel you need to lose more then maybe carry on as you are, if you’re happy enough with your weight then perhaps you could begin your transition into adding a meal and see what happens?

What are you planning diet wise once you’ve reached your goal weight?

I am feeling great! Things like blood pressure, athlete’s foot, fatigue, and all other weight related bad stuff resolved about a stone ago.

I figured if I overshot my goal, and then began to work out as i reincorporate food, that i will maintain this weight and be happy. Actually, I might get a really nice physique too. Just so long as I stay at or under 9.6 stones, I’ll be alright. Remember, the holidays are coming too. And you better believe I am dreaming about Thanksgiving. But traditionally, as per my boxing coach, I’d do a huge workout in the morning before feasting that day.

My transitional diet will be paleo/carnivore-ish. One thing is for certain, carbs are out. With the exception of some cheat days but with precautions like: 30min walk afterwards, preceding the meal with apple cider vinegar, and perhaps that being my one meal for that particular day. Also, I will always forego breakfast til at least noon, preferably 3hrs later even, and 5:2. Monday and Thursday going back to either 3 shakes or two 300cal meals(I know a delicious, high protein, shiritaki recipe for those days).

Stress is huge and I will now begin to put work second to family. Idc if they’re ultimately the reason why I work so hard in the first place. Every Sunday will be our family day, and I will take 4 one-week holidays a year.

Finally, alcohol will be a VERY rare indulgence. And it’ll count as a cheat meal with the same precautions I stated earlier. Except… I doubt I’ll go for a 30min walk afterwards.

Exercise and my affinity for boxing will take a greater place in my life again, the way it did 15 years ago. This time, with me training my son.

I did keto from 2017 to 2019 so this won’t be hard.
