Hi,
have you been recently diagnosed? you dont say if your type 1 or 2,
infection or illness can affect sugar..
are you takin ay other medication that could cause a rise in blood sugar levels?
are you less active than normal?
are you maybe stressed or feeling different personally?
all these can affect sugar levels but as you don't mention how much higher you are than usual i can't suggest something that couldstand out more than others,
but i can suggest you definately call or go see a diabetes specialist or maybe even your GP if your confident they have sufficient training and/or experience in diabetes...
and of course if your running high you risk developing ketones which isn't good so maybe if you have strips or ketostix it would be a good idea to monitor them if your very high...
and due to your age (i'm not insinuating your and unfit oldie

) make sure if you feel very poorly faint or star to vomit get yourself to A&E as son as you can (even if you have to call an ambulance) as im sure they'd rather they treat a poorly diabetic than a critically ill one.
of course im not trying to scare you but its just because i care and would hate to think if i had not said anything you may think you are maybe being silly and wasting peoples time but believe me you wouln't be!!
i hope you get your sugars to a reasonable level and start feeling great
