Is this in terms of BG levels? Or fat?
. (I have to put in a smiley when being so bold as to ask someone about their bodily fat levels!)
I certainly don't lose any weight eating a bunch of nuts, for sure, ditto the almond butter. Ditto the brie! But I love not worrying about losing weight - I just concentrate on the BG levels on LCHF, and keep as active as I can. But it's all about our individual metabolisms isn't it? Mind you I say this on the upper end of normal BMI... (If I don't walk a very long mile and do ab exercises and lift weights I gain weight rapidly, and my BG levels rise too.) (I have had recent experience to support this.)
I experience hunger often, as Herr Svea would vouch for (and everyone I have ever lived with would
) - so quelling hunger is hugely important to me! As I am truly miserable when hungry. And I do think eating moderate-high levels of fat helps for diabetics like me. The only thing that doesn't affect our blood glucose level! And fills us up. I can't tell you how relieved I was to finally get that idea into my skull! Popcorn = lots of carbs. Pistachios = lots of calories and fat! Latter doesn't screw my poor pancreas and liver around. (I hope!) (Gee I truly hope - else some other thing in my body will start to pack up! Please be right LCHF-ers!)
