I myself after 25 years am having a huge blip nothing seems to fix so far but there are still options its just working at it till I get it right again!! I strongly agree it is an excellent idea to get put on a carb counting course and to keep a blood sugar diary, also possibly as a new diagnosis to keep a food diary along side. again I know it seems like hard work but trust me it will aid you a great deal. this disease is a pain in the ass and it can affect so many things from your eyesight to food allergies to liver function etc etc etc but the harder you work at getting it right the better off the other things will be, I learned that the hard way so feel free to call me a hypocrite!! lol you will learn from mistakes but then if there were no mistakes we wouldn't truly learn anything!! do not be hard on yourself if its not perfect straight from the off no one is!! and don't think you cant treat yourself to the things you love as long as you have these things in moderation. I wish you the best of luck xx p.s. as far as carb counting goes you can get an app for about £4 on playstore called carbs & cals its really good and I think it could benefit you greatly xx
