Turnips and Tuna fish!
I went shopping this morning and stocked up my fridge with veggies and meat. I even packed the veggies neatly in plastic containers in order to fit everything in! So far so good....

But, I got sidetracked by some chocolate mousse's in the yogurt isle and they ended up in my trolley. Then of course when I got home I just couldn't resist one of them. Before I knew it both were gone! Each tub had 10 carbs. I didn't eat anything else at lunch, thinking I had done enough damage. My BG shot up from 6.2 (all time record low) to 9.2 two hours later. Silly girl. Hopefully lesson learned.

Tonight we are having steak served with courgette noodles and mushrooms, so pretty good there. We are celebrating the completion of buying our house. Yippee. Hubby also has a bottle of champagne on ice. I haven't had any alcohol since my diagnosis. Would one glass do any more damage?

Regards,

Carol

LOL we all have those moments, but a lesson learned so all is not lost.

Well done on completing on your new home. That should relieve you of a lot of stress and help the blood sugars.

Not sure about the champagne .....

I'm usually fine on champers, provided its a nice dry variety. To be honest, bearing in mind how often it happens and how much stress there often is involved along the way, even I might be tempted to wear my "Sod it" hat for once.

On an aside, you may find you get tipsy fairly quickly, if you haven't had alcohol for a while.

OK, I think I will write today off as a failure, and get back on track tomorrow.

Supper was lovely and I had one glass of champers with it. Before the meal I was at 7.2. Now 1.5 hours after I've dropped to 5.9 which is the lowest I have seen EVER.

I feel very strange. I think I will have an early night and hope I feel better in the morning.

Glass of champers is very healthy indeed.
