It all started yesterday, I got up and my tested my blood within ten minutes of being up, it was 7.3, then i sat down and had a piece of brown toast with a boiled egg, my next test two hours later was 5.4,
went for a wald around town, started to feel shaky and lightheaded! tested blood when i got home it was down to 2.1, had a couple of lucozade the glucose tabs, it took my blood up to 3.1,
i had salmon and a small handfulof chips homemade! for dinner my blood test went up to 5.4,
i had some fruit for supper at about 8pm, took my blood up to 6.9

When i got up this morning my blood was 7.3, i have had a brown piece of toast and a boiled egg! now once again my blood has dropped down to 4.3, i then decided to mop the kitchen floor, and straight away my blood dropped once again to 2.1,
I feel very weak with a fuzzy head! i am drinking alot with a very dry mouth my lips are very dry! I am weeing alot!
i feel very dizzy! I know that i have not had things confirmed but something is not right! i am getting up 4 or 5 times a night these last two nights for a wee!
i am drinking like a fish, i am drinking water! i don't drink tea or coffee or anything like that! no fizzy drinks, i am weeing all the time now!

I have to wait to see a nurse for the glucose intollerence test, and the nurse said could take up to 6 weeks, i thought no way! this is getting silly i feel worse than ever at the minute! i feel really ill at the minute and just don't know what to do!
the nurse said there would be no point seeing the doctor again until after i have had my glucose intollerence test! I just don't know what to do or where to turn, seems that the nurse is going to make me wait!

No one can make you wait Sandy, you are not well.
I suggest you phone tomorrow for an emergency appointment. The receptionist cannot diagnose so all she needs to know is that you are feeling unwell and need to see a Doctor. If you don't manage to do that then you need to go to A@E and explain how you are feeling and that you cannot get an appointment to see your G.P.
Hope this helps, Catherine.

Hi sandy,
Try and rest as much as you can today and make sure you eat regularly. Plenty of fluids as well.
Write down everything you need to say and any questions you have for the Dr.
Some people find it difficult when seeing Doctors. A good tip is to imagine them in their underwear. :)
If you begin to feel worse then a trip to A.@E. Don't drive, get a friend to take you or have a taxi.
Let us know how you get on.
Regards,
Catherine.

Agree with the others, you need an emergency appointment, and write notes for what you want to say.

Off the top of my head you sound to be seriously overmedicated. probably you have improved faster and/or are eating fewer carbs than they budgeted for.

This sounds distinctly weird.

I used to do "reactive hypoglycemia", spiking after meals and then the insulin would turn up too late and too much and drive my BG down, but not to that extent.

I can vaguely remember someone else with a similar story but can't remember what the eventual cause was, it was elsewhere within the endocrine system which was affecting her insulin output. Probably adrenals.

This really needs urgent further investigation.
