the last few days have been first thing 6 then 10 after breakfast the highest i have been is 15 i inject twice a day on both insulins

I assume you are talking about mmol/mol? And not mg/dL

Its either reduce your intake of carbohydrates or increase your insulin (under supervision)

You dont need to be frightened to eat, just frightened to eat carbs, eat cheese, alot of cheese, it wont touch your numbers

im waiting to go on the dafne course and im seeing my nurse on friday

Sorry for deleting previous post, I am useless at technology

There are a huge amount of posts on here about foods you can eat without them pushing up your numbers, just eat that stuff and your numbers will fall.

Thats good but nothing they will tell you that cant be learned here

With novo you should be able to adjust dose to suit meals, this should give you good numbers? Have you tried carb counting? A rule of thumb is 10:1 ratio but its different for everyone. 10 grams of carb = 1 unit of novo, so a slice of bread @ 20 grams is two units, a piece of chicken which is 0 grams is 0 units, if you see my point? Its trial and error but best done with medical advice, not me, a perfect stranger on the internet (or fat bloke in the pub said)

Hi,

Just spotted this topic.
Most insulin users start looking at what the long acting insulin is doing before working out where it's not right regarding injecting for meals.
Think of it as getting the foundations right before building on it?

By all means discuss with your HCPs
