I have type 2 diabetes on insulin I am 81 years old my wife gives me my insulin twice a day 22units morning and 6units before evening meal today before evening meal she mistakenly gave me 22 units instead of 6 units my bloods before were 13 .8 she just taken it again 3 hrs later it was 10.8 what should I be doing I feel fine at moment thankyou for your time

Hi @Andrew Moat , welcome to the forum.

1. Please call 111 for advice, this is a rather large increase of your insulin.
2. Keep sugary stuff to treat a hypo directly on hand, you might need it. No use risking a fall searching for something sweet when hypo.
3. Keep monitoring often to prevent a hypo.

What insulin do you use? I'm guessing either a long acting one or a mixed insulin. If so, this means you are at risk of going dangerously low for at least a day.
