I need some advice on weight training

Hi I am type 2 diabetic and on metformin 500mg twice a day.

Is there anybody that can assist with gaining muscle mass while on a low carb intake? Three weeks ago I was 136 Kg and I need to get to less than 100Kg lean mass. I am now 128Kg. I know I am loosing muscle mass with my present low carb diet but I have to drop my weight (FAT)

I do not wish to lose any more muscle mass than I need to it took a long time to get it.

How much protein vs carbs should I be aiming for.

Which routine would you recommend upper/lower body alternate days using heavy weights 6 sets 4 reps or 8 to 10 sets of 12 reps lighter weights all going to failure.

Weight days being M W and Friday
Cardio days Tues Thurs and Sat

Weight training was a way of life for me several years ago which I will be starting up again but this time with type 2 diabetes.

My diet when training was 60 - 40 protein vs carbs for building muscle.

Also what about supplement’s creatine, whey protein etc will they help can I still use them.
