I'm now four weeks into LCHF and I think my bloods sugars are stabilising. Over previous weeks there's been a big variation in my FBG, but over the past 5 days it's been between 6.2 and 6.8 everyday, and my post-prandial results are never higher than 7.8

Obviously, I would hope these numbers reduce further as I proceed with the diet, but I'm greatly encouraged that things seem more settled. I understand from others that FBGs are often the last thing to fall into place, so fingers crossed.

Thanks for everyone on here for the continued support, it's invaluable.

I'm sure they will.. FBG numbers are usually the last ones to get into the "normal" range it took a good 6 months before mine did so after 4 weeks you are having great success already.

That’s reassuring. I’m nearly 5 months in and fasting still are often in the 6’s and haven’t regularly been lower for most of that time despite sticking to the diet and now weigh 2.5 stone less. There’s hope for improvement yet. I never took any readings before starting low carb so don’t really know other than a single drs test what they were.
