I was told my control is too good for my age.

I think Libre readouts are based on the range you set, mine’s 4.8 - 8.2
A couple of days ago I set my range at 4 - 8. That gives me warning if I am slipping down too low or drifting too high. Up until then I was in range 98% of the time and 2% of the time above the range. It suits me to know more quickly if I'm going high because I can then keep an eye on it and take action if it starts to peak. I've found the Libre to be a really useful tool in keeping reasonably tight control over BG. I don't really regard BG in the upper 3's to be a hypo since I don't start to suffer until I'm in the 2's (only done that a couple of times over the last few years - both before I had the Libre). Too high is my normal problem.

Pump
I have experimented for a week with the new settings. Thus far, I have managed without any corrections by eating fewer carbs, but have kept the carb/insulin ratios the same. That has cut the time that the pump is in suspension by one third. However, since the pump has the facility to suspend insulin, it would make my life easier to let suspensions happen. Unfortunately, the target range in my pump is set between 3.9-10 mmol/L, whereas I would prefer the upper limit to be 8 mmol/L. Anyhow, the DSN wants to see two-weeks data by the second week of August, so I can work on this more, but I would prefer to use corrections to keep readings below 10.

The pump suspends insulin before a hypo happens, so my reading very rarely go below 4.

I have been type one for nearly 44 years. I have some background eye damage but so far have not needed treatment. Otherwise I feel lucky to be complication free. I was put on a pump eight years ago when I lost my hypo symptoms and they returned using the pump. I have lost my hypo symptoms again and asked for a closed loop system. Having previously been told I had lost my hypo symptoms because my control was so tight, I'm not entitled to a closed loop system because my control is too good. I'm only seen once a year at the pump clinic, I was told to relax my basal by 10 per/cent and left to get on with it. My hypo symptoms haven't returned. I'd be lost without my Libre sensor. I'm 71 and live alone. I managed to get a couple of appointments with a visiting DSN, apparently it's too much paperwork to change me to a closed loop dexcom system but in February when my Medtronic guarantee runs out they'll apply for a closed loop system. Surely it shouldn't be down to paperwork but whether or not I qualify. Sorry rant over I feel my consultant is ageist but do not have the option of transferring.
