Upset turned to anger today when my boss told me laughing that he blamed the parents for kids getting diabetes .... Too many sweets apparently ?? Knowing full well my 9 year old has type 1 . I wonder how many other people ''blame'' me for giving my daughter diabetes.i no it shouldnt bother me what people think but i feel i have to explain its a auto immune disease not my lack of care

I no its lack of education on the subject .i knew little about diabetes myself till chloe but it still upsets me . I just know better than to make a statement like that if i no nothing or little on a subject

my grandmother on my mams side was a diabetic, she passed away when i was 4 years old no othere member of my family had diabetes then to my suprise 15 months ago at my age of 63 years old i was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
 
I would have taken great pleasure correcting your boss..........

Thats awful how are you coping ?diabetes can effect anyone at any stage of life its just upsetting how people think its self inflicted

What an a***hole. Are you sure he is qualified to be a boss.

He could appear on QI and get the hooter for "Knowing" everything.
