iLet trasnplant

Do you mean Islets of Langerhan transplants?
As this article explains, it is a risky, "experimental" procedure and only 50% take no insulin 12 months later and everyone needs to take immunosuppressants.
 
Islet transplants have been knocking around for few years in various forms plus it appears you get it done on the NHS but there a fair few hoops you have jump through before you are approved, you will have to use Google if you want more info.

Personally I would not got for it because:
Immunosuppressant drugs are very unpleasant and you can end up very ill.
It is not a long term fix, you will have to go back to using insulin from anywhere between 1 to 5 years after transplant.
It's not a cure.
It's still experimental.
