Ill food

When I was poorly I lived on miso soup, not cheap but I loved the salt in it and its just a hot drink with a bit of seaweed.
Never heard of it. Where do you get it from?

What about some pork crackling if you are seeking something salty? otherwise maybe some diet jelly-potentially with some cream? other suggestions from me is some cheese slice- nice strong cheddar for example there are some low carbs dips with some seed crackers. You could try baking somme chicken wings and have some in the freezer for when you feel unwell- try some blue cheese sauce to go with them. Also think about some nuts- I have some snack size bags so they are already portioned and I know the carbs.

There are some low carb pasta substitutes that you could try.

I do understand how you just want some of your comfort foods- for me its particularly when I'm stressed- good decision to take a stressful job-lol I keep some sugar free sort of milk chocolate in the house (I don't know where- my husband does) and I have a couple of squares- about 1 gram of carb. That helps me. It is the only thing that gives me any hope that my tastes are changing as it is not really sweet at all but gives me what I used to get from real milk chocolate- maybe in time dark chocolate will do that too.

Good luck and hope you feel better soon

@woollygal when I was ill a couple of weeks ago I couldn’t face my normal low carb food either - too rich and filling when I had no appetite. I just dissolved a chicken stock cube in boiling water and drank that. Survived on it happily for 2 or 3 days. The saltiness really helped and it was warm and comforting and most of all easy. Hope you feel better soon.
