Hi ive just recovered from food poisoning, while i was ill i realised i had no idea if i was ment to still take metformin as i couldn't eat or even what i should eat to start with ive had toast so far and continued to take medication was this the right thing to do

I think that you only take metformin with food but that is only what I've been told (don't know whether that helps)

As punto says, you should take metformin with food, preferably with your main meal.
