Im at a loss as to what to eat now. Just started testing before and after meals.
Fasting test was 6.5 the lowest since diagnosis
After a small bowl of oats porridge with half teaspoon of honey was 9.2 two hours later
Before lunch was 6.6
2 hours after lunch was 9.2 had a wholewheat roll with some cucumber.
Do i eat less of oats and half a roll or do i change completely.
Im confused . :cry:

The bad news:
Porridge Oats = Carbs
Honey :shock: = Carbs
Wholemeal Roll = Carbs
The good news:
Cucumber = Not Carbs
You can eat some carbs, but you probably need to limit them to, 100g or so a day (the exact amount depends on the state of your pancreas, but you can work out if that's to much or too little using your meter).
I wouldn't eat any of the three things on the "bad news" list above (although some people have had success reducing portion sizes to control the carbohydrate content). If you must eat bread, then try and see how a slice of Burgen Soya and Linseed affects your blood.
You can eat lots of meat, eggs, salad, veg (although not starchy veg like potatoes), all of which are very low in carbs.
