Type 2 10 years Keto 2 years Down 20 Kg Off statins and metformin 2 years. I decided recently to do a little more testing for fasting blood sugar. My normal routine is to test at 9 AM having not eaten after 6 PM the night before. I am happy that most days I get a reading of around 100 (5.5). Last few days I tested when I woke up around 6 AM, some 3 hours before my regular tests. This is what I get 6 AM 9 AM 92 (5.1) 104 (5.7) 86 (4.7) 97 (5.4) After the 6 AM reading i take my meds for blood pressure and an aspirin. I drink a small pot of English Breakfast tea (no milk no sugar) and walk 2 miles. I was under the impression walking should lower, not raise blood sugar. I am not worried, I am happy with my readings but curious now. Which reading would be my true fasting reading, 6 or 9 AM? Any suggestions.
