I'm cursed!

I swear I'm cursed. Things are always going wrong for me.

Because of the CP and how it affects me and the diabetes i have made a claim for DLA.
Obviously they check with your Dr to make sure your not making things up and making a false claim.
Two days ago when trying to get a repeat perscription i found out that my Dr's haven't been given all the information from the hospital. They had no idea i went into hospital over the easter and on discharge i had been given painkillers to come home with and it's not down that i have CP. After a long discussion with a lady in the dispensary at my surgery she came up with an idea to get my painkillers. She asked if i still had the box the painkillers came in coz it will say on the label where i got them from, great idea except the label on my box was just written on and not printed out. Anyway... i still took it to my GP coz at the end of the day where else am i going to get them from? They were in a proper branded box and my name and instructions were written on them. Lucky for me he didn't doubt me and gave me enough to last a year ( not really but a silly amount).
The thing that worries me now is i know DLA has already written to my Dr and because he hasn't got the info he needs how can he tell them whats wrong with me? He said he will get the secretary to chase the hospital but it might be to late then and the DLA will then think I'm lying.

I also went to see my DSN today and been told that the insulin isn't working and she is gonna try me with metformin as well. If that don't work it's Byetta. Am i right in thinking that Byetta isn't an insulin and shouldn't make you put on weight and i wont have to inform DVLA?

does it make you feel sick? I haven't got much of an appetite now but coz of the insulin you have to eat which in my case is riddiculus anyway coz the **** stuff dont work. My levels without eating breakfast and dinner never gets lower than 10. Silly :evil:

CHRONIC PANCREATITIS

If i could just chuck in the towel and walk away i would i have never been so confused with all this business :crazy: . So sick and tired with the lot of them. I dont even think they know what they are talking about anymore and are just as confused as me. The DSN saysI'm insulin resistant and by putting up the dose will only succeed in me putting on weight. Next week she's putting me on metformin with it to see if that makes any difference, failing that she wants to try the byetta. I had a bad time on sitigliptin/januvia because it kicked off the pancreatitis so i think yes maybe byetta will do the same. For 10 days i had to keep a food diary with my bg levels and on a few days i didn't have breakfast or dinner but i still kept taking the insulin. My lowest levels was 9 something ???? None of this makes sence to me. If you dont eat how does your levels stay the same.

I'm only taking my insulin every other day now coz if it's not working why do i need to be taking it especially if all that it is doing is helping me to put weight on?

Haven't had proper pain with the CP for about 8 weeks now just niggles and a bit of nausea. Not really had an appetite.
I haven't been tried on any other insulin just the humulin which i haven't taken for about 4 days now and levels seem stable around 12 even whether i eat or not. I think the DSN only sees insulin resistance and has probably deceided against trying any other. I am suposed to start metformin 500g once a day with it though.

The DLA side of things... I sent my specialist appointment letter to them already but he cant say anything coz i haven't seen him yet not till the 31st. I just hope the Dr's pull there fingers out and get my diagnosis from the hospital.
