When people who know nothing about the LCHF diet tell me I'm killing myself being on it. I was killing myself not being on it!
Now that got your attention. Actually it's my 4yr old lab who is pregnant. Husband who was on 'mating watch' failed in keeping his eye on her and the stud dog, as they actually DID mate! Took her to the vet today for her annual jabs and mentioned her 'phantom pregnancy' Vet examined her, scanned her and there wriggling about were at least 3 puppies, probably more :) The only down side is we have no idea of the due date (thanks to hubby) and the puppies could be here as early as 2 WKS TIME!

Our holiday to hebceltfest in Stornoway has been cancelled, didn't think we would get a sitter for mum and wk or so old pups. So won't see Runrig or The Red Hot Chilli Pipers etc etc. But never been so pleased to have to cancel a holiday :)

HI MUM! What a lovely surprise! And definitely photos please. :p

I hope it makes up for the rotten time you've had ofter that nasty fall.

As a long term dog owner my main worry now is that when it comes time to say goodbye to my current boys and consider another puppy or two I'll possibly be too old/incapable of coping with them or worse still a breeder will believe I am, so I'm very jealous!

My husband wants an 'inbetween' dog. So that we can grow older with the next one. Dileas (pronounced Jee-Lus, gaelic for faithful) is just past 4 now. Trying to think of more gaelic names for pups. Wonder how many there will be...... Dileas was one of 11, but the last pup died at birth, the surviving pups were 7 girls and 3 boys. Hope she doesn't have that many! 5 or 6 would be ideal.

My sister used to keep and occasionally breed Shelties, and several of them had Gaelic names too: Minneagh (hope I've spelled that right as I always called her Minnie!) and Peerie were two of them.
