I was diagnosed in April as being T2, my blood results were 78 at the end of April. I was given 3 months to try and reduce my BS using diet alone, and by July I had managed to get them to 44 which I was super pleased about.

In July I was told we could go longer for the next blood test so was told to book one for early Dec. I have just received my latest results and they are now 41! I am the top end of normal, but normal nevertheless. I fully intend to keep on and get them closer to 30 so I'm not giving up.

My cholesterol has also gone down from 5.1 in April to 3.8 in December so I have also avoided having to go onto statins which was mentioned as if there isn't a decrease within 6 months my practice automatically put you on them.

So in the space of 8 and a bit months I have reduced my bloods to a normal level and reduced my cholesterol to a much lower healthier level.

Brilliant well done. :) Yes how did you do it? I could do with some tips.

edit: I have always wanted to be 'normal' but I don't suppose I'll manage it now.;)

Congratulations on getting your BS down:)
Correction on cholesterol : your practice can only prescribe statins, they cannot force to take them.
