Is there any advice as to where a implantable infusion pump is being developed as normal insulin inection is not working and neither is external pump. ?

You might like to read this articles to tell you more about implanted pumps http://www.diabeteshealth.com/read/2011 ... be-saved-/

As far as I know they still use some here in France. I met someone who used one until recently. She used the hospital at Toulouse. The world expert on the therapy is probably Dr Eric RENARD, from the CHU Montpellier.
I don't know of any that have been used in the UK. If you have a medical need for one and they aren't available in the UK you might be able to get funding for some or part of the cost .

Sadly I couldn't get Phoenix link to work..

I've never heard of anybody using an implantable pump in the UK, but doesn't mean that nobody does though..

But I've heard people using Dia ports, where there's been problems with insulin such as allergies with a pump..

The Dia-port is inserted so that it enables insulin to be delivered to as near as possible to it's natural source within the body, this seems to lower the allergy side and amount of insulin needed..

I know Bournemouth diabetic unit has used this method...

So perhaps if you come to a bit of a dead end with an implant, perhaps this will give you an alternative avenue to follow

That's good,
Let us know what happens.. it's nice to read the end of the story.
