On holiday in Canada and States - not sure how to read the food labels for carbs, I know its shown differently but don't know how to convert to a measurement I'm used to!

As I recall the N. American way is to include all carbohydrates inc fibre in the figure.
So you may have a US/Can. carb figure of 75 g per 100g, of which fibre is 55g per 100g .
Netting this off gives us our UK net carb figure of 20g per 100g.
