Funny you should mention mayo with olive oil. I got some yesterday to try its by Hellman'sperhaps have a bash at your own mayo with olive oil? You could use it for stuff like egg salad, tuna mayo (tuna with a bit of grated onion/garlic and a few drops of lemon juice), a lower carb version of coronation chicken or to make your own cheese coleslaw (nice with a burger ).
Not olive oil then.. Its mainly rapeseed I think according to Waitrose 64% rapeseed 5% olive oilFunny you should mention mayo with olive oil. I got some yesterday to try its by Hellman's
Looking at some of the LFHC stuff on here I seem to be having a lot of protein from the meats I'm having and not as much fats. Maybe I'm trying to hard. I'm at Dn next week to get weighed and show her my Bg results to se what she has to say. What you you have listed there all seems like a good balance.
Why do you feel like you need to increase your fat intake?
I've been trying to do LCHF for three years and I'm not sure I have the balance between protein and fat right. I tend to fill up on protein if I'm hungry, as well as eating avocado, nuts, dairy and EVOO. HbA1c is 34.Looking at some of the LFHC stuff on here I seem to be having a lot of protein from the meats I'm having and not as much fats. Maybe I'm trying to hard. Hi @bulkbiker will try Avocado thanks. I don't keep a food diary and don't count the calories. I struggle sometimes to eat as not a big appetite at the moment but need to have some for my meds. I could quite easily just have one meal a day.Avocado are a great fat source.. low in carbs and protein?
Are you keeping a food diary where you work out your nutrition macros.
Sounds like you are having roughly what I do and I end on about 75% of calories from fat most days. Although I do get quite a lot from cream in coffee..
You're probably getting more fats than you think and if you aren't hungry that's usually a good sign. I have been known to eat a slice of butter with some salt on it.. but then again I think a lot of people think I'm a bit odd...Hi @bulkbiker will try Avocado thanks. Baked avocado with tuna and cheese sounds good, thanks.Try oily fish (trout, salmon, mackerel etc), olives and almonds as good sources of fat. I also love a baked avocado with tuna and cheese
Thanks for that @Bluetit1802 I do fry my mushrooms in butter then add the omelette. I wasn't worried about the protein just wanted to make sure I was getting enough fats to help with diet. Thanks againYou didn't mention butter? Butter is excellent if you aren't dairy intolerant. You can put big knobs of it on your veggies.
You mentioned Hellmans mayo. I use it all the time, probably too much of it! I also eat salmon 3 times a week, but other oily fish will do almost as well, and plenty of eggs. Egg-mayo makes a good lunch with some cherry toms and salad stuff.
If you haven't got existing kidney problems, then protein is not a worry. We need it for repairing and maintaining every cell in our bodies - and the older we get, the more we need.
I would advise you to start a food diary and start counting your fats, carbs, and protein amounts.

There's one at the bottom of this overly long article...Is there a recipe for this mayo?
